Balance & Fall Prevention · Trenton, MI

Stay steady.
Stay independent.

Balance and strength therapy for older adults — dramatically reducing fall risk so you can keep living life on your terms.

Why fall prevention therapy matters

Falls are a serious risk for older adults, accounting for more than 32,000 deaths annually. According to the CDC, more than 25% of adults 65 and older fall each year — about 36 million falls, sending 3 million seniors to the emergency room and hospitalizing 800,000.

Many factors raise fall risk: balance or walking problems, vision changes, medications, low blood pressure, inner-ear (vestibular) issues, neuropathy, and altered sensation in the feet. Falls most often happen in the bathroom, in a dark bedroom at night, when standing up quickly, or when tripping on the way to the bathroom.

While no therapy can prevent every fall, physical therapy focused on balance and strength training can dramatically reduce your risk. If you or a loved one has fallen — or has been screened as at-risk by a healthcare provider — fall-prevention therapy can help protect your independence.
